Marco Island Real Estate: Bargain Hunting For Luxury Homes

How average Joes are buying luxury homes on the cheap
There is a half-price sale on luxury properties going on in Florida, creating a once in a lifetime opportunity for the average homeowner to be able to afford beautiful seaside luxury homes on exclusive Marco Island. That's right–Marco Island real estate has dropped by 50% during the housing crisis from its 2006/2007 peak.
For the many folks who have wanted to live in this slice of Florida heaven, now may be the best opportunity yet to stake a claim. Prices on Marco Island condos can be as low as $54,000 and as high as $11.9 million. This is well off the highs of the real estate boom, with the average homeowner being able to (finally) afford some truly beautiful waterfront property.
Marco Island has various types of waterfront and view properties available. You can find water access homes where you can pilot your yacht or cabin cruiser right to your back door after a long day of fishing, water skiiing, sailing, or just exploring the beautiful Gulf of Mexico waters.
If condos are more your speed, you can find some great deals on condos and townhomes with convenient amenities like a boat slip, pool, fitness rooms, and of course, amazing views. Whatever your preferences for a Florida lifestyle, Marco Island real estate can make a great investment for the right home buyers–while supplies and prices last, at least.

About the Marco Island area
Marco Island is a town just south of Naples, Florida in the southwest part of the Sunshine State. It offers exceptional Florida real estate values, with luxury homes often selling for less than half their peak price in 2006/2007. Only half an hour from Naples on Interstate 90 and State Highway 951, the enclave makes for a convenient commute for those who work in town but want a slice of serenity to return home to each night.
The island is part of what's affectionately but inaccurately called the Ten Thousand Islands chain. In fact, there are only hundreds of islands in the cluster that stretches about 99 miles up the western coast alongside the Gulf of Mexico, and Marco Island is the northernmost and largest island of the chain.
The island is referred to as a mangrove island or islet. A mangrove is a group of various kinds of trees that can grow in the salty coastal water, and they attract all kinds of unique wildlife.
